1.Purpose & scope
This Anti-discrimination Policy (“Policy”) sets out the principles and expectations that apply to how UCLAP conducts its business, how users are expected to interact on the Platform, and how concerns may be raised. It applies to customers, service professionals, partners, visitors, and UCLAP personnel insofar as they use or support the Platform in India.
This Policy is complementary to our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. Where there is a conflict with mandatory law, the law prevails.
2.Our commitment
UCLAP does not tolerate discrimination or harassment based on race, caste, religion, place of birth or residence, colour, descent, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, pregnancy or marital status, disability, age, language, or any other characteristic protected under applicable Indian law (including, where applicable, the Constitution of India and central or state enactments on equality, dignity at work, and rights of persons with disabilities).
We strive to make reasonable adjustments so that people with disabilities can access our services and support channels where feasible and consistent with safety and operational requirements.
3.Fair & equal treatment
We expect everyone interacting through UCLAP to:
- Treat others courteously and professionally;
- Refuse requests that ask for exclusion of individuals based on protected characteristics;
- Avoid stereotypes, slurs, humiliating comments, or hostile behaviour;
- Comply with lawful directions from UCLAP staff related to safety, verification, or dispute handling.
Reasonable preferences about timing, language of communication, or service scope are welcome when they are not a pretext for discrimination.
4.Customers & service delivery
Customers must not use the Platform to request, encourage, or pressure professionals to discriminate against others. Booking notes, chat, ratings, or calls must not contain abusive, discriminatory, or threatening content.
UCLAP may restrict accounts, cancel bookings, or escalate incidents where behaviour puts professionals or others at risk or violates this Policy or applicable law.
5.Professionals & partners
Professionals and partners are expected to deliver services without discriminating against customers or colleagues and to follow UCLAP onboarding, safety, and conduct standards. Equal work opportunities on the Platform are allocated based on legitimate operational criteria (for example, skills, service area, ratings, availability), not on protected characteristics.
Partner organisations that work with UCLAP must align with this Policy in their dealings with customers and professionals engaged through the Platform.
6.Harassment-free environment
Harassment includes unwelcome conduct that interferes with dignity or creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment—whether in person, on a job, in app messages, or on calls coordinated through UCLAP. Sexual harassment in any form is strictly prohibited.
Where UCLAP employs or engages people directly, we are committed to internal processes consistent with applicable employment and workplace laws, including grievance mechanisms where required.
7.Reporting concerns
If you experience or witness behaviour that violates this Policy, please contact us promptly with as much detail as you can share safely (date, booking or ticket reference, screenshots where appropriate). Reports may be submitted to:
Email: uclapindiaservices@gmail.com
Call centre: +91 70805 36444
Web: Contact form
We will treat reports seriously and, where possible, acknowledge receipt. Anonymous reports may limit our ability to investigate; we still encourage you to reach out using the channels above.
8.Review & consequences
UCLAP may review reports internally and may request further information from involved parties. Outcomes may include warnings, temporary suspension, permanent removal from the Platform, referral to law enforcement, or other steps proportionate to the facts and legal obligations.
Findings will be handled with appropriate confidentiality, subject to the need to protect safety and comply with law.
9.No retaliation
Retaliation against anyone for raising a good-faith concern or cooperating in a review is prohibited. If you believe you have faced retaliation, please report it using the same channels listed under Reporting concerns.
10.Awareness & training
UCLAP provides guidance to staff and, where appropriate, to professionals on respectful conduct and this Policy. Training and communications may be updated as laws and platform practices evolve.
11.Policy updates
We may revise this Policy from time to time. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy to the extent permitted by law.
